Accountant – General Ledger (US Shift)

The Job:

  • Perform daily general ledger functions, including the recording and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
  • Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate financial data, creating reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end closing procedures.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by analyzing financial data and providing input on budgetary requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit requests.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
